COOLING SYSTEM FLUSH
cooling system flush in keeping with manufacturers warranty conditions, have formulated a cooling system flush that is at the cutting edge of technology in order to “stay ahead” of cooling system corrosion problems, and as such, we are therefore able to supply our customers with the very latest in cooling system cleaning products.
cooling system flush meets and far exceeds the requirements of the following OEM’s.
Cummins - Caterpillar - Mack - Volvo - Mercedes Benz - GM - Toyota - Ford - Scania – Detroit - And all other major engine manufacturers.
The requirements of these engine manufacturers is such that the system must be flushed once per year to stay within their warranty requirements.
DESCRIPTION
is a specially formulated liquid for removing sludge, grease, sinter and scale from radiators and engine water jackets. CSF is non acidic, solvent-less, biodegradable environmentally responsible product that is safe to use in systems that contain a host of dissimilar metals such as aluminium alloy, copper, brass and solder as well as both cast iron and steel. It will not adversely affect water pump seals or radiator hoses. CSF complies with all manufacturers warranty requirements and OEM standards.
DIRECTIONS for USE
- Drain half the system of coolant (water) and add 300mls of
CSF to every 5ltrs of water that the radiator holds, and top up with water.
- Remove the fan belt so that the fan is disconnected.
- Run the engine till it is very hot (steam should be releasing from the overflow pipe) and allow to cool.
- Drain the system by uncoupling both radiator hoses and remove the thermostat. The thermostat should be removed and checked for correct operation.
- Flush the system thoroughly with clean water, preferably by pressure flushing.
- For the removal of engine or transmission oil that has leaked into the cooling system, more than one application may be necessary.
The appropriate amount of Cooling System Conditioner should then be added, and the cooling system should then be refilled, preferably with rain water.
Onsite Cooling System Services.
Onsite Cooling System Services are NOT RECOMMENDED for reasons seen by us in the past where the operators of such services have left hoses loose, thermostats unchecked, flushing products not cleaned from the system, belts and water pumps not checked and worse still, cardboard still left behind the radiator for “false heat” operation to get the unit hot. DO NOT fall foul of these services.
NOTE: The product may be left in the system and the vehicle driven for a week or more to ensure the cleansing of stubbornly dirty systems. No damage will result in this procedure, however, welsh plugs that may have pin holes that are covered by rust may become leaky. This should be watched out for.
