"SUMMIT" Extra Heavy Duty Coolant
Description
SUMMIT Coolant has been specifically designed for Agrilube Fluid Management as a general purpose extra heavy duty engine coolant suitable for diesel trucks, buses, marine, locomotive and stationary engines as well as mining equipment with both ferrous and aluminium construction.
It is a low silicate and amine free formulation, which contains a pre-charge of supplemental coolant additive (SCA) for added protection against wet cylinder liner pitting.
Recommended Concentration
SUMMIT Coolant, is a "Pre-Mixed" coolant, and should be used directly from its original container.
Service Life
The recommended maximum service interval is 4 years for off-road engines, i.e. tractors and farm machinery. Max service for Cars, Vans, Utility vehicles etc is 150,000kl. The Max service intervals for "on highway" trucks is a maximum of 200,000kms or four years whichever comes first.
Cooling System Recommendations for "Topping Off"
In instances where coolant loss has occurred, SUMMIT Coolant must be replaced directly from its original container to ensure that inhibitor concentration is maintained.
Shelf Life
Unopened containers of SUMMIT Coolant have a shelf life of 4 years.
Directions for use
- Flush the cooling system with
Cooling System Flush Concentrate.
- Fill the system with
"SUMMIT Coolant DIRECTLY from its ORIGINAL container.
- If top up is needed, top up radiator using
"SUMMIT" coolant directly from its original container.
offers a 4 year product performance guarantee when used in a clean cooling system and where our cooling system flush is used.
Note: Do Not mix with other coolants. "SUMMIT" coolant will not reverse pre-existing corrosion problems. If frequent top up is required check your cooling system for leaks.
Onsite Cooling System Services.
Onsite Cooling System Services are NOT RECOMMENDED for reasons seen by us in the past where the operators of such services have left hoses loose, thermostats unchecked, flushing products not cleaned from the system, belts and water pumps not checked and worse still, cardboard still left behind the radiator for “false heat” operation to get the unit hot. DO NOT fall foul of these services.

Glycol Styles
Antifreeze's active ingredient is glycol. "Standard" coolants contain ethylene glycol (EG), which is toxic to people, pets, wildlife and groundwater. In recent years, less-toxic antifreezes containing propylene glycol have become available. These products advertise comparable cooling qualities to EG antifreezes but with less environmental impact. Either way, always clean up any coolant spills/radiator boil-over’s promptly.
The coolants that are available on the market today are all made to a price and are put together by the large companies such as Reco-Chem, ICI, and Cooper Lysahart.
The chemical base is usually sodium, and chlorine. These do the job for a time but are highly unstable as these two chemicals when subjected to heat and pressure revert to Sodium NITRITE which is a very corrosive chemical.
With these corrosive salts running loose in the cooling system of your machine, you run the risk of some badly corroded components such as radiators and oil coolers. This is NOT worth the risk!”
